digital camera summary

Thanks to all of you for your comments on digital cameras. Here is a summary
that I have complied from all the notes. (It has helped me to organize the
advice, too!) We have been to several stores and this week is decision time.
I would welcome any comments or corrections that you have!

Camera characteristics:
Megapixels: at least 3.0
Zoom: at least 3x
REAL Optical lens: must have; is there a numerical recommendation?
Shutter delay: pain in the A$$ (this was so funny that I had to include it!)

Suggestions:
Rechargeable AA batteries
Memory card reader
Several 32 mg memory cards

Kodak and Nikon use Compact Flash cards
Sony uses own memory Stick
Olympus uses Smart media card
