Digital camera summary update

I am a recent user of Jaquar on a flat panel imac (just upgraded from a 
7yr old 6100 w/ OS 8.6).

I got a Sony S30 which can take very short videos(avi - motion JPEG: 
needing Quicktime).

I hooked the camera up via USB and instantly (with the press of a couple 
of buttons) downloaded still shots into iPhoto 1.1.1. But, the program 
doesn't see the video. I couldn't find out anyway to do it in iMovie 
either. Seems like you need a firewire hookup there.
