G3 Blue and White

Hello All,

Have just spent a frustrating day trying to get the above mentioned G3
running.

Has had problems of corrupting the disk with errors in Boot Blocks that an
older version of Nortons could not fix.

I ran DiskWarrior and fixed these problems. On reboot OS 9 locks up with
extension conflicts etc, sometimes will restart with extensions off,
sometimes even has errors with extensions off.

Do clean install of OS 9.1, would not even start after quitting from the
Installer CD.

Machine has 2 HDD, bite the bullet and initialise the OS 9 HDD, do reinstall
of OS 9.1 from OS 9.1 Universal Install CD and the same problem, extension
conflicts etc.

Do clean install of OS 9.1 onto other HDD which has OS X 10.1.5 installed on
it. Same problem OS 9.1 locks up extension conflicts etc.

Check Firmware is up to date ok.

Open G3 pull all the RAM out and reseat, pull out all accessible connectors
and reseat, close G3 and try again, same result.

Reset PRAM, same result.

Start in OS X, runs fine, do some updating of OS X Software, set up Modem,
connect to Internet ok, set up AppleTalk and set up Filesharing with other
Computer no problems. OS X did not miss a beat. Try and start Classic,
extension Conflicts again.

Has anyone got any clues on why the G3 will not boot in OS
9.1???????????????????????????????????
