Hard drive partitions

My hard drive on my Cube has two partitions. One has OS 10.2.3 and OS 9.2.2.
One has only  OS 9.2.2 This is the smaller partition-- 5GB).  I have 512
megs of memory. The classic environment did not work well on a separate
partition. 
I would like to remove the OS from the 5GB partition and use it for storage.
I'd prefer not to reinitialize the entire drive.
Are their any problems I should expect with this ?
