I know for a fact that if the subject header has the homemac digest # when 
you send your post to the list you will get the daemon error message. In fact 
below is the message you will receive.

LIST module(list HomeMac at lists.themacintoshguy.com) reports:
 You should not reply on digest messages without changing the Subject field}
