need imac advice ASAP!

I am finally going to buy a new iMac with 17" flat panel screen. I have had
my heart set on the one that boots into OS9 as well as OSX.

I have called local stores for prices and only 2 places still have them.
Several salesmen are encouraging me to buy the newest iMacs that only boot
in OSX, but still run 9.2. I don't know what to believe now.

Please give me your opinions and comments. I trust those of you on this list
rather than "them".!
