Epson Smart Panel?

Anybody out there have trouble with this software?  I
install it and it locks up my computer with every
scan.  Same deal on several computers, my wifes imac,
my schools G3, and my laptop in classic mode.  Scan to
file, scan to app.  All lockup as soon as the scan is
over. 

Im using a perfection 2450 photo scanner and os9.2
except for the laptop running X.2 but the program is
running in the classic mode.
