[HM] New IMac Questions

Hi,

To answer your first question, you cannot have the date appear right 
alongside with the time, but if you click on the time, a menu pops up 
with the date. As to your second question, you cannot boot from OS 9 or 
earlier on any newer Mac, including the 17" 1 GHz iMac. It comes with 
Classic emulation in OS X, which starts automatically when you launch 
any OS 9 app. Virtually ever OS 9 app will work fine in Classic, with 
only a few exceptions. If for some reason when you start Classic (from 
the Classic System Preferences pane), you should be able to reinstall 
Classic with the Software Restore discs that came with your iMac.
