MacMame & Function keys ...

Hi:

I'm attempting to use MacMame on OS 10.2.8 and whenever I go to the 
function keys, I can't use them as they are mapped for the sound and 
brightness for my G4 laptop.

Usually, those keys are used within MacMame to put the "quarters" in 
the machine to play the games.  Has anyone discovered a workaround?
