John, what I mean is that the iMac is SUPPOSED to boot up in both 9 and 10. But it won't boot up at all! I was trying to boot up in 10. I am using 10.2 (I think.)

I have been in 9.2.2 mode and I have done NOTHING to OS X! All I have been doing is trying to make Outlook Express and Internet Explorer work after I moved them over from my old G3. ( I have been asking questions here about moving favorites, contacts, etc...).

How do I get the iMac to boot up at all????? Hmmmm....... use the System cds and hold down the C key, right?
