Jane, It sounds like from your most recent email that you've solved the problem of deleting the bookmarks, but for the sake of completing what I started... The permissions that I am referring to is the permissions on the Favorites.html file. On my OS X machine, this file is located in: (home directory)-->Library-->Preferences-->Explorer (in UNIX speak: ~/Library/Preferences/Explorer/Favorites.html). From there, highlight Favorites.html and do a get info (cmd/apple-i) and open the permissions section of the get info dialog. From there, you can check/change permissions on the file for yourself and everyone else. But unless you're still having trouble, I would probably leave the permissions at the default settings. Hope this helps, Barry On Jan 17, 2004, at 7:24 PM, Jane Sprando wrote: > Barry, where would I find the Permissions for I.E. 5.2? > > jane > >> From: Barry Lyden <blyden at mac.com> >> Reply-To: "Home Macintosh Users >> List"<HomeMac at lists.themacintoshguy.com> >> Date: Sat, 17 Jan 2004 06:17:14 -0600 >> To: "Home Macintosh Users List" <HomeMac at lists.themacintoshguy.com> >> Subject: [HM] Re: Deleting Favorites from Internet explorer >> >> Have you tried just typing the delete key after selecting the >> particular bookmark? >> If that doesn't work, then perhaps the permissions are wrong after >> importing?
