Anybody got any experience or recommendations for setting up a web cam? I'm not looking for anything fancy, I just want to set up a video cam to monitor a puppy at home while I'm away. I've been thinking about ways to do this. One way would seem to be using video chat between home and work, but I'm not sure I can do this because I can't be in both places at once to establish the chat session. A web cam is the other option that occurred to me. Something like Logitech's Quickcam. The site isn't crystal clear on how it all works. My set up is a cable modem, linksys wireless router, and I was thinking of hooking it up to an iBook through USB. But the Logitech website does not include Panther in the acceptable OSes, just through Jag. And how do I get to the camera through the Linksys router/firewall? It isn't like I have a static public IP address I can assign to the camera. So if anyone has any experience or suggestions for how to go about this, I'd love to hear. Thanks. -Bob --
