A quick trip through Google indicates that Journaling was added in  
10.2.2:

Google "journaled os x"

First hit: eweek reporting "10.2.2 will add journaling"

Googled "10.2.2 journaled"

3rd hit: eweek reporting "10.2.2 did add journaling"
