[HM] Epson ststus monitor trouble on g4 gigabit ethernet dual 450

Hello I have 2- epson printers, a 2000p and a 2200 connected via usb
to my g4 running tiger 14.4.11, dual 450 processors.
When I open the Epson printer utility it sees both printers, when open
the utilities tab to check ink levels, clean printhead etc, I get
communication error!  It works fine on the 2200 but won't work on the
2000p!

Both printers print while connected, just the 2000p gives the error message???
