Monitor suggestions

Using a TiBook and would love to get a largish external Monitor... But 
cannot really justify dropping the big bills on a Cinema. Anyone have 
any suggestions.... I'd love to get something to make life with FCP/AE 
a little cleaner.

Also following that the DVI thread... is the output on the TiBook  ADC? 
I have some kind of adaptor but it seems to be the wrong kind.
