Dropped Frame Detection in FCP

Final Cut Pro has very accurate dropped frame detection services, both 
on digitizing and playback. It recognizes breaks in time code as well 
as a dropped frames. A small caveat may be that we rarely use media 
under the Betacam/DVCAM bar, but do have legacy formats, Video 8, Hi8, 
and Digital 8, along with even 3/4 SP and 3/4 in our media production 
room. In no circumstance has Final Cut given us a hiccup. We commonly 
transfer 40 or more minutes of source, and to date have zero complaints.
