FW HDs that work with iMovie

That's strange, because I am using OS X.1.5 and my problem isn't
capturing to the FW drive with my ZR10. In fact that is what I have
normally done. The problem is mainly with editing the clips that are on
the FW drive. Once I do some cropping and try to empty the trash, the
program hangs. I can't figure this one out.
It sure is frustrating though. Especially now hearing that I'm not
supposed to capture directly to the FW drive. That's the reason I got
the 7200RPM FW drive... to avoid dropped frames when capturing to the
slower internal drive.

Don't import or export to FireWire disks with Canon camcorders
If you are using a Canon DV camcorder, you can't import or export
directly to a FireWire hard disk. Instead, import or export to your
internal hard disk and copy the file to the FireWire hard disk.
