Have a look at this page:- http://www.kenstone.net/fcp_homepage/perfect_titles_phil.html some good ideas for improving titling in DV. The major problem isn't so much FCP as the DV 4:1:1 (ntsc) or 4:2:0 sampling (PAL), with some "help" from the codec itself. Try Phillips ideas, they worked pretty well for me! -----Original Message----- From: Bobbo [mailto:bobbo924 at earthlink.net] Sent: 17 December 2002 16:08 To: Macintosh Digital Video List Subject: [MacDV] Twitchy Titles Twice Told Hi, list. A friend is having problems in both iMovie and FCP trying to get decent titles. He's using a simple, non-serif font, and the dang thing looks pixelated, perhaps anti-aliased to me. i.e., it looks blockish, and some of the pixels seem darker than others. The overall effect is similar to what you'd find if you zoomed in to, say, 400% on a small anti-aliased, rasterized bit of text in Photoshop. Is this a known titling issue in BOTH these programs? Any workarounds? Thanks, B 19 new Nature images online at http://www.bobbogoldberg.com Voice over -- http://www.bob-vo.com ---------- <http://www.themacintoshguy.com/lists/MacDV.html>.
