I went ahead and got the $300 FCP since it seems likely that it will be able to handle the DV output from the different cameras to create a virtually seamless production. I may go ahead and get the DV Companion 2 as well, since I don't really want to spend a lot of time wading through manuals or books. WRT to Erica's suggestion that Sensei may be better off delivering the final product in VHS format, he may well wish to consider that option. Once the final product is out in DVD, making copies in VCD, VHS and other formats should be a mechanical process that I may or may not be willing to handle myself, and I certainly don't see the value in doing that sort of work from home.
