Matthew, I worked for RCA for most of my career. RCA was sold to GE in December of 1985. The RCA consumer products line was sold to Thompson CSF, a French company. As a part of that deal, Thompson was allowed to use the RCA and GE trade names for ten years. It appears that Thompson arranged to continue to use the "RCA" 'brand name'. My point is that there is no "RCA" company, as such, any more.
