Why not just export your animation as a QuickTime movie if that's how you
need it in the end anyway?

If you insist on working the hard way, you can bring your still images into
Final Cut Pro as a folder of images (drag and drop), but before you do so,
you'll need to make sure you have the still frame duration set to
00;00;00;01 (I think that's right) in the Final Cut Pro settings -- one
frame anyway...  Then you'll have to render it in FCP to output to video.
