Ditto here.  We've recently run into problems with a new Western 
Digital firewire drive we rented for a project.  The power cable 
comes loose, sometimes the computer doesn't recognize it even after 
double checking connections & restarting computer.   We've had 
internal Western Digital drives fail as well.
