Installing FCP 4 with a firewire DVD drive

I just ordered a dual 1.25 gig dual boot G4 from Apple without the
Superdrive, because I have a Pioneer 105 Superdrive in a firewire case.

I'm presuming that FCP 4 will install with a DVD drive connected via
firewire, and not require an Apple original Superdrive.

Has anyone installed FCP 4 with a firewire DVD drive?
Any problems?
