Partitioning Drives

In regards to the recent discussion, I have put all of my personal 
applications on a second partition without any consequences. The only 
apps which should not, cannot be moved to another partition are 
Apple/System applications (Address Book, iMovie, Final Cut Express, 
etc.).

For me, OS X as stable as it is, just thrashes and fragments hard 
drives far to much to risk putting all of my apps and my documents on 
it.
