I've noticed in the BH Photo catalog and some Audio-Visual places that it is possible to buy DVD players, VCRs and TVs that are specifically designed to play multi-standards. I suppose that, or playing PAL DVDs on computers, would be the solution for those of us in the United States. -Dave Original message: Message-Id: <36A5E302-2FF7-11D8-B869-0003937C4660 at mac.com> From: Tuckerman Moss <tmoss at mac.com> Subject: [MacDV] Re: pal or ntsc for dvd Date: Tue, 16 Dec 2003 18:39:42 +0000 This has been my experience too. Virtually any dvd I've made with NTSC are playable in the UK. And no one I've found is able to play a PAL dvd in the States. I make all my dvd's in NTSC for family members in London, Poland and California. All play without problem. If I make them in PAL both my Polish son and Californian daughter have trouble. Tuck
