[MacDV] G-4 (733) & RAM ?

If by "not waste" you mean that you don't want to throw away any of your
RAM, then you can add two 512 MB DIMMs. I've already ordered 3 to max
out my new machine (whenever it ships).

OS X, video editing, opening up iTunes and iPhoto while running iMovie,
etc. will all work better with plenty of RAM. I'd like to think that if
I want to fix a photo I'm using in a movie, I could pop into Photoshop
without quitting iMovie (or FCE). Adding a gig to what you have should
get you by for some time though.
