I'm wondering about the placement of download files and boot OS and digitizing app. I have 4 drives in my 8500. two on the native SCSI fast bus and two on a PCI ATA card. The tow on the scsi are 4.3 gig 7200 rpm Fujitsus and the two IDE's are a 27 gig and a 40 gig. The IDe's show a throughput of about 9.5 and the scsi's about 7. Would it be best to boot off one of the scsi's and run Strata off one of the IDE's and store the files on the other IDE with no apps on it? -- All the best, R.A. Cantrell <racan at flash.net>
