[MacDV] $170 Pioneer DVR-105 NOT Working With iDVD 2.1 Inside 500 MHz Blue & White G3

 Apple made iDVD to work only with Apple internal OEM hardware.  Some external drive company made a patch so their hardware would work with iDVD but Apple's lawyers changed that.

You should be able to use Apple's DVD studio pro just fine from what I understand since it is a program that you can buy to work on any computer, unlike iDVD which comes bundled to work only with Apple's Superdrive equiped computers.
