I don't think it's bait and switch...the store ads in South Florida clearly showed the Cendyne grey box/blue letters (guy holding cd) that contains the DVR-104 (Cendyne Part# CDICD00106) versus the grey box/red and gold letters (guy holding remote) which is the one you want - DVR-105. Some stores may not have stock of the newer unit, perhaps. Cendyne w/DVR-104 http://www.cendyne.com/product.asp?pid=3 Cendyne w/DVR-105 http://www.cendyne.com/product.asp?pid=15 Also, BJ's Wholesale Club has the same Cendyne unit w/DVR-105 for $249 - $50 rebate. As for bait and switch - the first one I purchased from OfficeMax was a shrink wrapped box containing a NEC CD-RW...some jokers Christmas return prank...hopefully not Cendyne trying to make a quota... In the end I got a good one (DVR-105) and it works great...Thanks for all the input from the list. KH >Don't open the box! Take it back! That's the old 2x model.
