I don't think it's bait and switch...the store ads in South Florida 
clearly showed the Cendyne grey box/blue letters (guy holding cd) 
that contains the DVR-104 (Cendyne Part# CDICD00106) versus the grey 
box/red and gold letters (guy holding remote) which is the one you 
want - DVR-105.  Some stores may not have stock of the newer unit, 
perhaps.

Also, BJ's Wholesale Club has the same Cendyne unit w/DVR-105 for 
$249 - $50 rebate.

As for bait and switch - the first one I purchased from OfficeMax was 
a shrink wrapped box containing a NEC CD-RW...some jokers Christmas 
return prank...hopefully not Cendyne trying to make a quota...

In the end I got a good one (DVR-105) and it works great...Thanks for 
all the input from the list.
