Thank you, friend. I'll take your comments under careful consideration. I think I speak for many when I say your contributions are always informative. I mostly lurk and read and can't offer much in the way of help, but you help many. I shall now return to my hole in the wall. Media Money Congratulations on a wise decision. But since you already have a 2x SuperDrive, you may want to take the 105 back. Yes. 10.2.3 supports the 105. > > Do I need to stop using the DVD-R's I'm using now and use only 4x > media? Not at all. 4x media is expensive. The 105 writes DVD-R media at 1x, 2x and 4x depending on the media. It also can write to DVD-RW media at 1x AND 2x. Your 104 only writes to DVD-RW at 1x and DVD-R at 1x and 2x. Keep using the slow stuff. But if you already have a SuperDrive iMac, I would take the 105 back and keep using the 104. Unless speedy recording is important to you, there's no good reason to graduate to the 105 from a 104. > > The box does not at all mention Mac compatability.Only Windoze. Should > that > worry me? If you have a high income and don't mind paying a premium price for 4x media, then go for it. But if you don't really want to spend a lot more for the faster media (I can't even find 4x media for sale yet), then take it back. 1x media is now at 57¢ each in 200 packs. TDK 2x media is over $2.75 each in 200 packs. > > Any help is appreciated. Thanks. > > Geno ---------- <http://www.themacintoshguy.com/lists/MacDV.html>.
