preparing MPEGs for Toast

hi,
i´m leo and i´m new to this list.

i´ve been trying to find a way to prepare my MPEG-1s for toast, to burn 
VCDs.
Some of the MPEGs I download works perfectly in toast, and later in my 
DVD player.
Nevertheless, most don´t.

i´ve been tipped to try out a number of apps, ffmpeg, missing mpeg 
tools, vcd builder, missing media burner, VCDgear, cleaner6 and so on. 
I can´t say I really understand all of them, I don´t speak english THAT 
good... ;-)

I also tried following a couple of tutorials on the web, but i didn´t 
succed.

oh, i´m running 10.2.

would appricate help very much!
