Can't open old iMovie project!

Hi Folks,

Last summer I shot a bunch of DV footage for reference purposes. I then 
built a bunch of iMovie projects of the footage and put them all on 
disks. That's when I was on OS 9, using the most up to date version of 
iMovie possible. Just recently I switched to OS X, and using iMovie 
2.1.2 I am unable to open the projects I made in OS 9! iMovie doesn't 
seem to recognize them.

Any ideas? Or will I have to re-import all the media into new projects?
