Actually, most are family videos (without commercials, of course) and cool 
one time programs (with commercials) I've recorded over the past 20 years. 
Coincidentally, I'm using OS9, so I don't think it will do this in the 
background. Does Tivo work with rabbit ears? ;-)

This is a lot of work to put some cooking shows on DVD so you can watch 
them later.  I'd suggest looking into a PVR such as a Tivo.
