newby question

I'm brand new to digital video...

Is there a good basic guide online somewhere?

I need assistance with equipment, software and technique.

I'm hoping to use my B & W G3 350 384mb ram, 30GB EIDE HD.

Running OS 9 with iMovie, but OS X is an option.

I've got a Panasonic PV-DV200D camcorder.

I'm not attempting to do Pro quality work, just some basic editing of home
movies.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
