Actually, from the little bit that I was able to do before it became 
unbearable, I did notice that transitions rendered much faster and the 
ability to change the volume level of an audio track is great.

So it does have some great features but there is obviously a bug that 
is affecting quite a number of systems in terms of performance so we'll 
have to wait and see what the fix is.
