My guess is that this first commercial was deliberately aimed at 
tech-heads and pros (and similar geeks) who would know how to find out 
and compare that kind of information anyway and was just a way of 
increasing product awareness before they consider their next purchase. 
(I believe it was Charles who already said that such people deep down 
inside have been waiting for Apple to produce a computer like this 
anyway.)
