You can capture ANY video footage into Final Cut Pro, it is format independent. For digital video formats, you just need a device to play back the type of tape you shot, and the correct connector on your computer (firewire being the most common). For analog video formats you need a device connected to your computer or inside it, to convert to digital (like the Aurora Igniter capture card) Final Cut Express only works with DV footage, so any flavor of DV25 is ok, but you should check the website for qualified cameras and decks. <http://www.apple.com/finalcutexpress/qualification.html> DVCam is still DV25. You can play back DVCam footage shot on the miniDV cassettes in almost all Sony DV camcorders that can load a miniDV tape. (all that I have ever tried have worked, but there might be some that won't do it) sb On 7/22/03 4:23 AM, "Steve Robertson" <stever at mindspring.com> wrote: > > On Tuesday, July 22, 2003, at 01:36 AM, Richard Brown wrote: >> >> The PD150 records in DVCAM format, which is a broadcast format, unlike >> MiniDV.
