For motion picture production, it is not going against the grain to be 
shooting in PAL anywhere in the world including in the NTSC part of it. 
The application is the determining factor - not where you live. A 
rapidly growing part of the independent film production world are 
making movies with PAL DV cameras. Why? Because their frame rate of 25 
fps is much closer to film's 24 fps speed and they are a higher 625 
progressive lines of resolution.
