First let me commend you on your exceptional patience. There have been  
a lot of "answers" directed your way that were less than helpful, and

Well, that's DEFINITELY an iLink connector, because that's the iLink  
logo in your picture just as plain as day!

That is most definitely a 4-pin iLink (aka Firewire) port. Proof can be
