If I understand your description, you are getting 2 frames out of every 5 in your rendered footage, which sounds like a significant speeding up (better than double speed). Are frames 1 and 5 being copied/rendered multiple times? You say that frames 1 and 5 play "and then the sequence repeats," which I take to mean that the rendered sequence incorporates frames 1, 5, 6, 10, 11, 15, 16, 20 etc. from the original footage. Is this what you meant?
