Hi Everyone,

Thanks for your quick response. Sorry I didn't mention I'm running a tryout
version of Premiere 6.0. I tried importing manually like Jon has suggested,
but it doesn't display an image in the capture window (I've checked all
connections and settings). Nor can I get a list of devices to appear (I read
that 'generic' works most of the time). Because I'm new to video I thought
it might be due to my own fumblings, but a friend who works in pro video
couldn't get it to work either (granted he's used to Avid). I'll try some of
the Premiere sites and keep on trying. Maybe this is a sign I should just go
for for FCP.
