I'm not sure what you're talking about (jumping around), but say I insert a memory card and open its window. Then I open a window for the hard disk. It didn't used to happen, but now windows open so that the lower part is below the bottom of the monitor. I have to maximize the window (to shrink its height) before I can get to the sizer in the lower right corner. Then I have to resize and move it to fit beside the other window. AT LAST I am ready to copy over photos. Yes, I know about copy and paste and sometimes I think to do that, but it's still a lot of scrolling columns around to do simple operations. I still have to find out the last photo number on the hard disk before I know which numbers to select and copy from the card. A static bar at the side will be very welcome. OK, so it's Windows Explorer. At least we have column view as an option on the right side. But they have thumbnail view, including in open and save dialogs - incredibly useful in my work. I have no idea why Apple hasn't offered anything like that yet. :-( Shirley On Friday, June 27, 2003, at 07:31 AM, Matthew Guemple wrote: >> Panther looks like it will solve some frustrating problems with >> Jaguar's interface.
