My guess is time. Now that 4x media is in the mix, 1 x media is approaching commodity level of acceptance. Best mail order price is 69¢ in quantity 300. So retail is finally catching up with mail order on the blank DVD-R media wagon. Also it is just recently that DVD-R recorders are now down to the sub $150 price point. So they are becoming much more popular this year than in years past. Please everyone keep those Sunday morning sale tips coming, I don't get the inserts because of a strange geographical anomaly between San Jose and Santa Cruz for San Jose Mercury News inserts that arrive at the Valley homes but not those in Santa Cruz County. k On Sunday, March 16, 2003, at 09:43 PM, JM wrote: > hmmm, can't find those on-line though. > > have to check locally. > > what caused the quick price drop at CompUSA and Office Max > > The economy? > > thanks > > juan > > > > On Sunday, March 16, 2003, at 04:19 PM, Thubten Kunga wrote: > >> From: Thubten Kunga <Kunga at FutureMedia.org> >> Date: Sun Mar 16, 2003 4:19:44 PM US/Eastern >> To: "Macintosh Digital Video List" <MacDV at lists.themacintoshguy.com> >> Subject: [MacDV] OfficeMax DVD-R @ 80¢ 25 Pack >> Reply-To: "Macintosh Digital Video List" >> <MacDV at lists.themacintoshguy.com> >> >> OfficeMax DVD-R @ 80¢ 25 Pack >> >> Take advantage of this unprecedented low retail price of 80¢ each >> after an instant $25 rebate off the $49.99 list price and a $5 mail >> in rebate.
