Cannot print to video...only audio comes through.

Hi!

I have never had any problems, but I only get audio out the firewire to 
my camera's...all settings, all prefs tried.  Audio is perfect...no 
video at all....
A 733 G4, FCP 3.4, 1 GB ram.
I can get video out to camera in Imovie. ...but importing files from 
.mov takes forever.
Anyone have any ideas?  It would be nice to actually use the program I 
paid for.
