The Boston Final Cut Pro User Group - BOSFCPUG (http://www.bosfcpug.org) is
bringing Final Cut Pro 4 for the first time to Boston to give the Boston
filmmaking community a rare opportunity since Apple's announcement at NAB to
see FCP 4 in action.

The next meeting of the BOSFCPUG will be held on Wednesday, May 7 from 7pm -
10pm, in Room 206 at the Photonics Center at Boston University, located at 8
Saint Mary's Street, Boston.

Special guest Don Peebles of Apple will be joined by others for a live demo
of Final Cut Pro 4. Don will go in depth, takes questions, gather feedback
and show off all that is FCP 4.

There will be a look the new AJA Video IO BOB (http://www.ajavideo.com),
which delivers high quality 10-bit uncompressed video and multi-channel
24-bit audio over FIREWIRE. Developed in close cooperation with Apple, IO
was designed to take full advantage of powerful new features in Final Cut
Pro 4.

Reps from LaCie Ltd. (http://www.lacie.com) will also be on hand to preview
their new FireWire 800 D2 external drives chained and striped in a FireWire
800 RAID 0 configuration to show how the new FireWire 800 technology can
reach unprecedented sustained transfer rates of up to 100MB/s, making them
ideal for working with professional video in high-end workstation and
small-server environments.

In addition, Michael Oh of Tech Superpowers, Inc.
(http://www.techsuperpowers.com) and NewburyOpen.net
(http://www.newburyopen.net/marathon) will recap the collaborative effort
between Tech Superpowers and members of the BOSFCPUG to give Boston Marathon
attendees a chance to greet runners and family via video postcards using
Apple technology and provide WiFi access during the event.

This special meeting of the BOSFCPUG is FREE to the public, however you must
register to attend by pointing your browsers to
http://seminars.apple.com/goToEvent.html?id=21747. There will be a $5
