Once it was discovered that the comparison numbers and graphs were all copied wholesale from Bare Feats (who use a non-standard test suite), and that one of the key comparisons makes a claim about Bryce that isn't true, the whole thing collapsed. Macbidouille has an EXTREMELY dubious track record on rumours, and to think that they: 1. Obtained a fully functional, advanced-prototype 970 Mac for their own private testing; 2. Obtained versions of software (like Bryce) that are not even in beta-testing much less available for testing; 3. Were able to create and publish true information without getting themselves sued into oblivion by Apple ... strains credibility well beyond the breaking point. The PDF file that Kunga links to is a much more valid reference for what the 970 is, what it isn't, and what it can do. If you bother to actually read it, it becomes quite clear that this chip will not be the "Pentium IV-killer" that some perceive it to be -- at best, it will put Apple on better footing regarding speed than it is presently, and that's about it. _Chas_ New at http://filmmoi.blogspot.com - at last, my review of "The Two Towers."
