FCE - RAM & Cache Settings

Greetings 'List'
I am in the very early stages of using FCE and was wondering how best 
to set the RAM and Cache settings in the preferences window for best 
'all round' performance. I have a G4 933 MHz with 1.25 GB's of RAM.
Suggestions always very much appreciated, as I am new at this, very 
keen but unfortunately as subtle as a bull in a china shop !
