You mean You actually got it to work? I once spent two whole days trying to format a PC -readable FW drive and a USB - memory stick and the outcome would always be the same - even though I could format it as FAT (by selecting the device in Disk Utility, not the partition), my PC with WinXP would never read it. I even hunted for info on several OS X lists and everyone seemed to agree that it's a known flaw in X.2 A colleague of mine reported that he had also gotten a USB memory stick and a floppy to work in both Mac & PC when formatting on Mac OS X, but that the read/write speeds were incredibly slow until he formatted it on PC. Anyway, I was hoping You could perhaps share Your experience on this matter (does the PC read the floppy, does it seem awfully slow etc..)
