Slightly OT - Sony memory stick

Folks,

I have a Sony TRV50 1-chip camera. It also records still shots to a 
Sony memory stick. Up till about a week or two ago everything was fine. 
Now, however, whenever I put the camera in MEMORY.NETWORK mode, I get a 
flashing FORMAT ERROR referring, I think, to the memory stick. I can 
find info on the Sony sites for formatting Memoery sticks for PCs, and 
not for the Mac.

Anybody got any clues as to how i can solve this problem?
