My first DV Production

Hey,

As I have mentioned I have been working with Final Draft 6 and of 
course am working on my first screenplay (glad I picked this software 
up because typing a screenplay in a word processing app is an absolute 
nightmare). How generally do you finance your first DV Production? I 
have checked out the available production grants available in Canada 
but they require for the most part that you are an established artist. 
Any ideas or resources anyone can point me to?
